The Mexican Wall

I do agree we need a wall like the berlin style wall across the US-Mexico border. Like this.

And the wall should be 25 feet tall and 10 feet wide with a jeep on top so guards can monitor and warn the mexicans to get away from the wall.

And how would that solve the problem at hand, the reasons they come: work and welfare? It wouldn't. So long as they know they will get work and welfare, they will come.

Let's fix the PROBLEM, not throw peanuts at the public.

Re: The Mexican Wall

No.If you wanna come to the states you go though a system.Just like how europeans do it.Not by sneaking across the fence and asking for a job. If you want to come to america and work you apply for an american citizenship. Then after you become an american citizen you apply for a social security card. Then you are legal.

Re: The Mexican Wall

Or, instead of wasting hundreds of millions of dollars on a wall that can be dug under, how about removing the incentive to move here illegally, e.g. punishing the companies that hire them?

Re: The Mexican Wall

I think we should have a wall like Israel built to keep out the Palestinians and we could get Banksy to come and make some murals on it like this.

Why build a wall? I think minefields would work just fine.

As a matter of fact, you can apply for social security cards even if your not a US citizen. Those on working visas (H1B), student visas, and perhaps some others are all eligible to apply for social security cards.

Ah, so use my tax dollars to send illegal immigrants to school? Right. I don't think so. You think using our money to send them to school is going to make less of them come? Ay...
How about we use that money to punish employers, you know - the ones causing this situation in the first place. If you take away what they are coming for, much of this situation will solve itself on it's own. Building a wall or sending them to school is foolish if you want to solve this problem.
