I wouldn't be likely to trust any investigations done by law enforcement agencies-its a conflict of interests. In Virginia the commonwealth's attorney office investigates any deadly force incident involving police officers.

FDLE is an independent agency, and from what I have seen, they are very thorough and honest in their work.

Florida law only permits the use of deadly force - or the threat of deadly force - to prevent the commission of a violent felony. Even the "stand your ground" law does not permit the use of deadly force, nor the threat of it, for a non-violent misdemeanor like trespassing.

Matt
Non-violent misdemeanor? The cops were armed. They were dealing in narcotics. They weren't merely trespassing.

These Florida laws are very good and reasonable, and they should be implemented to the rest of the country by the federal government.

I guess the point here is that the "war on drugs" is actually a war against the citizens of the USA.

Leftists love to kill babies and the elderly.

The war on drugs - and it's not just the US that has the policy - is totally counter-productive. Trouble is legislators are too shit scared to do anything about it.
