And that's fine.

I think it'll be interesting to see how this one plays out, as I don't believe we've even come close to hearing the end of this story...

Maybe. Have you done your research, or are you talking out your ass again?

If the facts that you base your supposition on are wrong, your supposition is wrong. Logical, no?

I've done my research. You haven't.
OK. I fucked one goat. Get back to me when you have gotten over it.
I got my information from an incorrect source. It happens. At least I go looking in the first place.
Everything else is checked and in order. Was there anything else or ya just want to gloat for a few more pages?

Indeed why are short barrelled shotguns illegal in the U.S? That doesnt make much sense in a country with so lax gun laws. It must be impossible to get a carry permit for a short shotgun then.

About the leg shot issue. If you cap someones knees with a shotgun, then I doubt that they would be able to run/walk any further.

Well technically they aren't illegal, but getting the appropriate tax stamp for one isnt really worth the trouble. The National Firearms Act of 1934 is what made them illegal (and gave us the infamous Miller decision).

There are a few you can buy which run right at the edge of legal from Remington, Winchester and Mossberg.

Ultimately though, what's the point? Its still going to be over a foot and a half long, weigh about 5 lbs, and have a limited capacity. Not exactly the best concealed weapon choice.

It doesnt make sense period, regardless of our gun laws. The 1934 NFA a wonderful example of why blaming the gun doesn't do shit to reduce crime. There has been no benefit to it as far as anyone can see. Criminals who are going to use a short barreled shotgun, a full auto firearm, or a silencer are still going to do so - and have.

Yes and no - depends where you are. Many states do not require a carry permit for a long arm, and again, there's that whole issue about trying to conceal a weapon that's 2 feet long.

And when you miss him, and kill the kid down the street....

The idea of shooting for the leg is the dumbest fucking idea anyone ever came up with. If you're trying to avoid using lethal force, use something other than a gun. If the situation calls for lethal force, then it calls for the person to be killed, not an attempt at incapacitation. Lets also not forget that a shot in the leg has substantial potential for being lethal - or did you forget the femoral artery?

Re: Do You Carry A Gun?

It is interesting to note that the Colorado church shootings were stopped by a lawfully armed citizen.

Contrast this with the shootings in "gun free" zones in the Omaha mall and VT campus.

Dont look for that tidbit to be hyped as much as the fact that he had a couple of "assault weapons" in his gym bag...

This reminds me of the guy who comitted a bank robbery with an AK-47 and eleven 100 rounds drum magazines, while wearing his home made bulletproof suit. Imagine if that guy was out on a killing spree instead - he could indeed have killed hundreds and then some with that gear.

Are you referring to an incident that happened in Denmark? I only ask because years back two men with homemade body armor and illegally imported Chinese AK-47s robbed a bank in California and the police were unable to take them down because they didn't have adequate firepower. After that incident police forces across the nation upgrade their weapons so that at any given time at least a few officers were on the streets with m4s, m16s, mini 14s, or other assault rifles if a similar incident were to arise.

I noticed that. An armed church security guard. Never even knew such a thing existed.
