I’ve never felt the need to carry a gun on a regular, everyday basis. I have in the past, however, felt the need to carry one in response to an acute situation. About four years ago, I was the primary whistleblower in a $50 million corporate bank fraud case involving some black cocaine dealers from Oakland who had connections to Death Row Records, and according to some people I talked to, to Suge Knight himself. I carried a .40 S&W everywhere I went for several months afterwards, but after a sufficient period of time had elapsed without incident, I stopped doing so. Lately, I have been receiving threatening phone calls from an obviously mentally unbalanced person whom I have not yet identified. For reasons which are too complicated to explain here, I do know that this person lives in my neighborhood. I have lately been carrying a 9mm with me at nights when I walk the dog. But as matter of regular policy, I do not carry a gun if there is no outstanding reason to do so.

I don't own a firearm, and haven't for quite awhile, but I regularly carry a weapon on my person. Soon as I can afford better weapons, I will get into the habit of carrying them.

Being that I'm 15, I can't legally own a gun, and I'm not sure about what laws say about carrying them, though I'm willing to bet that in any situation if I were caught carrying or using one without a licensed adult with me, IL'd be in DEEP SHIT.
I DO, however, do the best I can. I have a medium-sized osage bow, and a recurve, both of which won't exactly fit inside a handy-dandy, concealing holster...but I don't think I shall be needing to take them into public places for protection...
I also have an air rifle, which I practice with often as possible. It's not exactly a tommy gun, but I daresay if I were in need of a weapon, its definitely enough to get the job done.
I also keep certain other weapons that I have found useful. Even with the advent of ranged weapons, I know people that have been saved from sticky situations from such things as tomahawks and knives. Needless to say, I have an armory fit for an entire army of the 12 century...lol.
And when I can legally own a firearm, I plan to buy at least one bolt-action rifle, one semi-automatic, and a revolver, at the very least, probably more.
And the moment I get wind of a law that restricts guns even more, you get expect Northwest Arkansas to become a very hot topic very quickly...if you catch the drift...
