My point is that you claim the reasons for their 'whining' are partisan when that is clearly not the case. Do you still maintain that their objections arise from partisanship?

You may think it's silly, but silly doesn't equate to partisan. My point is that the concerns with a program like the one in question arise from something other than partisanship. You will find people that consider themselves Republicans, Democrats, Independents, or some other affiliation that disagree with the program discussed in this thread.

I don't want to speak for them, but knowing anything about Donkey Left and EricOKC would indicate that if there's an issue they agree on, it's not because they are coming from the same partisan perspective. In fact, it's quite the opposite because I think there's probably very little they agree on. That's why Donkey said it "galls" him so much that he agrees with Eric here.

Have whatever objection you want. Call it silly all you like, but to say people are "whining" because of partisan reasons is flat out wrong. I don't see how you can support that it is.
