I don't find fuzzy buildings and prairie lands all that interesting. There's not all that much to see at 5,000 ft. I found the cities a lot more interesting. They can be zoomed to 30ft.

I was told during an invited trip on a nuclear sub that the ability to use our GPS system could be crippled by exploding a nuclear device in the atmosphere.

Any comments ?

I believe he was referring to the electro-magnetic pulse released by a nuclear explosion. Such a burst burns out all exposed electronics for miles. Lack of GPS coverage would be the least of our worries.
