Obviously it is disrespectful to turn the American flag upside down and whatnot, but those are isolated, incidents and not the norm.

What is wrong with them carrying Mexican flags as well? The Irish do it, so do the Italians. Ever been to a Hungarian festival? Or Serbian?

Re: How illegals feel about America

Ironically there are millions of illegal immigrants working harder than anyone reading this forum, and working harder than any of those protestors, who appreciate the USA as the land of opportunity for those willing to work hard.

Re: How illegals feel about America

Those in America illegally are criminals and therefore I don't care how they feel. The excuse they're here to do jobs Americans won't do is nothing but a tired excuse driven by politicians "afraid" of what special interest groups would think and are blinded by reality. The don't have an issue because they are set for life, or at least many of them are.

Illegals working are avoiding taxes by getting paid under the table. They get free medical care because they are "poor". They get assistance that naturalized citizens cannot qualify for. They walk the streets without fear because they know they're "special". Every year they protest in major cities by marching with their flag and shout how unfair America is.

Too bad! If you are here illegally you are just as much a criminal as the guy locked up for selling a bag of weed.

Now, let's talk about the money that these people get, then turn around and send our money out of the Country. This is a joke and again ignored by politicians. Fast food restaurants got along fine without illegals running the store. Also I know as a fact, that many young people as well as older folks would work in these places however they are intimidated because they don't speak the language of fast food (Spanish) restaurants. And even if they could employers aren't likely to hire someone for $10.00 an hour with minimal benefits when they can hire illegals for $7.50 or lower and no benefits. Employers avoid a lot of taxes by doing so, as well as those working there by not paying their fair share.

Yes, we all immigrated to the US at one time or another, but here's the difference. We did it the right way, we paid our way through life without handouts or special programs.

The National economy would be better off if the Cities took action to rid themselves of these criminals. The local economy would benefit just based on those that want to work having the opportunity to work.

Call it how you want but I'm tired of pressing one when I call places to get English. I'm tired of dealing with people that have no idea how to hold a conversation in English.

Bottom line - Who cares what they think? Not me. If I had the power to do so I would order raids on these places that hire illegals and I would fine the owners so much they would be forced to abide by the laws of the United States.

They shouldn't be working here at all. Appreciate the opportunity? Are you kidding? If they appreciated the USA they would make an attempt to become legal and pay their fair share. What you just said is such a crock I find it insulting.

Really?

Whats your address? I'm going to come live in your house.

Oh wait - you're in NY - THAT explains it. You don't have to worry about illegals.

Horseshit.

If they want to be Americans, let them wave and fly the American flag. Check out Google images under "Mexican Protests". Mexican flags abound.

So fuck them...

What you don't understand is that if they 'attempt to become legal' there could be a 10- 20 year wait. That is how backlogged the system is with the Secretary of State. From some countries legality is futile.

That does not make what they're doing; coming here illegally, alright.

They're fucking scumbag criminals...

Nor does it make the US government right by keeping the backlog which is completely arbitrary. What it does though is guarantee cheap labor for American businesses.

Even Bush who had them in his back door didn't broach the subject. There is a reason they are here and there is a reason they cannot come here legally. I think the reason the cannot come here legally has more to do with conservative thiknking than it does liberal thinking. After all, it is corporations and businsses they are benefitting--corporations and businesses that follow capitalistic and conservative lines of thinking.

A government; any government, must have the right to limit immigration as it sees fit.

As for the rest of the nonsense you posted, I don't think "corporations" are hiring too many of the illegal scumbag aliens that are hanging out in the local Home Depot parking lot, or the ones who are mowing my neighbor's lawn...

It is petty apparent that the US government has chosen to NOT limit immigration at all except by happenstance.

Actually, Bush did broach the subject. He was considered pretty liberal on it. He was for some form of amnesty.
