The 2nd amendment says we as Americans have a right to bear arms...
But when it comes to other countries...we don't want them to bear arms...see what I'm saying?
Here's an article I found interesting...
A Hello to Arms: Military Modernization in Unsettling Times : Chris Sprague - Politics3
Agree or Disagree?
Not quite sure what you're getting at, Bud.
The US sells arms to many, many other nations and also assists in training their troops. There are some nations that we're not dealing with but we're not suggesting that the people of those nations be disarmed. We ARE suggesting that a state government which controlls all the arms may well be detrimental to the free and open exercise of individual natural rights.
I live a good 30 minutes away from the nearest police station. I feel like I have to have a gun. When I can't have a gun they will need to come up with better protection for outlying areas... And if that ever happens I will not shut up about it. TV, radio, newspaper, maybe even dropping pamphelts from airplanes.
Sunshine, I can think of only one reason that a man should wish his neighbor to be unarmed and that would be if he wishes to do that neighbor harm or injustice. Similarly, my thinking about why the government would want me unarmed and defenseless is that they have an intention of doing me harm or injustice.
