Twice as many people were beaten to death with hands and feet than were killed with rifles.
So, why are we rushing to ban scary looking rifles, again?

But Matt makes a good point, why the guns? Presumably most of these guns needed a hand to hold or finger to pull the trigger (or a mythical unicorn in the case of the guns and magical 300 ft armor piercing bullets that John Drake was familiar with), so why not kill 2 birds with one stone and just ban hands and feet and resolve the gun issue?
Oh crap, i said "Kill"...scratch that, we'll have to think of something new.

because banning guns is a liberals wet dream
Since the Obama Administration is hacking and monitoring everything and everybody. IRS/FBI I did not vote for Obama , I did contribute to Romney and I do criticize the administration. AUDIT AWAY!
Another interesting point; if you look at Table 1 and look at the 20 year trend in violent crime rates, not only has the actual number of violent crimes gone down, but the rate itself has decreased by 50%. The murder rate has also decreased by just shy of 50%.
Interesting to compare the violent crime rate for 2011 here in the US to that in, say, England and Wales for 2011. Ours was 386.3, theirs was 1361. Their murder rate was 1.3, whereas ours is 4.7. Are we, the United States, really less safe and more violent than other nations around the world?
BTW, I got the England and Wales numbers from the UK's Home Office: http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publica...arch/hosb0112/

Since the Castle Laws are being passed by many states, 24 Fully and another 16 partially, the government has to do something to make people afraid of guns again. They create these people to go in and commit mass murder to stir everyone up like a False Flag event and then push laws to control and disarm the populace as much as possible. With the trend of crime going down in the wake of the laws allowing citizens to be armed and use them anywhere to protect themselves the government realizes it needs fear to create more control.

My guns wont be illegal, they will only be undocumented.
I am male, white, straight, Christian, Conservative how else can I offend you today.
How many humans can be brutally slaughtered in a theater, shopping mall or school without a chance of escape or retaliation in an attack by hands and/or feet?
There is no sin except stupidity.

Liberals fail to recognize that modern conservatives are direct evidence of the failure of the public education system.
Come on Dan, this is beyond absurd, it is an insult to intelligence.
Jared Lee Loughner killed 6 people and critically injured 2 others. James Eagan Holmes killed 12 people and injured 58 others. Adam Lanza killed 27 people, 20 were 1st graders. None of those killers were Ninja warriors. Without massive firepower, they would have all been overwhelmed and subdued. And how would Lanza have killed himself? Hold his breath? Even Chuck Norris at his peak could not perpetrate that kind of carnage.
