    New York's new gun law

You just can't make this stuff up. In their rush to pass this thing before people could read it and participate, they made one little mistake.

The law, as signed, prohibits possession of magazines with a capacity of more than 7 rounds by everyone, including the police.

New York gun law lacks cop exemption - Maggie Haberman - POLITICO.com

This is what happens when legislation is stampeded through the process so quickly that there is no time for silly things like actual thought.

NY truly is a laughing stock.

One of the things that made my little brother so mad was the way they rammed it through under the cover of darkness. No public input, no reading of the bill, nothing. Cuomo just sealed his fate as far as seeking higher office.

I doubt it because libs love this type of thing, their policies cant stand the light of day so they must push it though when no one can actaully look at them

Okay, so I can't have a magazine over 7 rounds.

I want to create maximum carnage.

    1: Big old truck - 4X4
    2: Bullet Proof/resistant glass
3: Skid plates, plates around gas and engine and drivers area
4: Lunch time in any city and running over pedestrians till my gas tank runs out
    5: Profit

    No guns needed.
My guns wont be illegal, they will only be undocumented.

They better hurry up and fix the problem before more mass-shootings occur from those individuals who think it's too risky to visit a therapist.

Do cops REALLY need 7 rounds in a magazine? I think 3 is enough. We wouldn't want some crazy cop committing mass murder now do we?

I think it's a great idea as passed!

Isn't it in New York City where they used something like 50+ shots to kill an innocent man? How many rounds do Police Issue weapons hold now?

    This is great... Ops!

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Legislature are expected next week to tweak the state's controversial gun control law, particularly to clarify that the seven-bullet limit does not apply to active-duty police officers.

The lack of an exemption for cops has drawn concern from law enforcement, while free-speech advocates have criticized the law's provision allowing pistol-permit holders to opt out of having their information released publicly.

Cuomo's office said there's a prior law on the books that covers police officers.

"No police officer possessing ammunition clips with more than seven bullets is in violation of the law or guilty of any crime, period," Cuomo spokesman Matt Wing said in an email Friday.

Still, police groups said they were concerned about the new law's language and would work with lawmakers to get clarification.

Now we both know all we did was add a few clip eject, reload, keep firing steps to the unwritten 50+ round policy to put someone down rule.

How does anyone survive being shot 49 times unless they're Robocop or are shot 49 times in the foot?

The first 2-3 well placed rounds should do it, the rest are just to ensure everyone knows you mean it.

There are several guns that automatically drop the clip when the last round is fired and close the breach when the new clip is inserted.

The man they shot did not survive. However, unlike TV, shooting victims rarely drop immediately to the ground dead. In this case, there were several officers shooting at him, and they shot him quite a few times before he went down.
