Former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle Reportedly Killed at Shooting Range; Suspect Arrested - ABC News
The deadliest US Soldier in history is killed by someone with a gun. Fuck.A man is under arrest in connection with the killing of two men at an Erath County, Texas, gun range, police said.
One of the victims is former Navy SEAL and "American Sniper" author Chris Kyle.
"We have lost more than we can replace. Chris was a patriot, a great father, and a true supporter of this country and its ideals. This is a tragedy for all of us. I send my deepest prayers and thoughts to his wife and two children," "American Sniper" co-author Scott McEwen said in a statement to ABC News.
ABC affiliate WFAA-TV in Dallas reported that Kyle and a neighbor of his were shot while helping a soldier who is recovering from post traumatic stress syndrome at a gun range in Glen Rose.
The suspect, identified as Eddie Routh, 25, was arrested in Lancaster, Texas, after a brief police chase, a Lancaster Police Department dispatcher told ABC News.
Routh was driving Kyle's truck at the time of his arrest and was held awaiting transfer to Texas Rangers, according to police.
Investigators told WFAA that Routh is a former Marine said to suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome.
Kyle, 39, served four tours in Iraq and was awarded two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and one Navy and Marine Corps Commendation.
From 1999 to 2009, Kyle recorded more than 150 sniper kills, the most in U.S. military history.

this is a testament to how broke our medical system is to treat those with PTSD.... and with future cuts by the Obama administration there will be more and more people not getting treatment and the assistance their country owns them.

All good news, but it appears we need to do more here as we have someone with PTSD (well, according to the story even though we really do not know the motivation yet) running around killing others. The point is if we focus on the tools used to kill, we will end up missing the boat on whatever drove this man to kill 2 others.

fact is there have been more suicides and more problems with PTSD under Obama. Some due to the multiple deployments these soldiers have to put up with but additionally due to the lack of medical treatment and facilities we have to treat them... all those end up on HIS DESK he is the CINC
If he gets credit for personally killing Osama Bin Laden... he also owns the medical issues of his force.... but i am sure you will blame a republican or bush or something else since your messiah is beyond reproach

Ok, I will ask the begged for question. What in the hell were those guys doing taking a shell shock victim to a firing range? He is the last person who should have a gun in hand. In fact, when anyone has PTSD, he should not be able to own a gun, because he is mentally ill, basically.
The first thing I thought when I read this tragic account was, those that live by the sword, die by the sword. Still, a sad and tragic day.

Yes the suicide rates are horrible, but to try to hang that onto obama is silly.
Hang it on us getting rid of the draft. At least during Nam, we didn't get sent back time and time again because we had enough people, drafted, that we did not have to do that. We did not send national guard either!
Bring back the draft and spread the death and suffering around. It will have a side effect of a president not being able to start wars paid for in american blood. When the public raised hell over viet nam what did we do? Stopped drafting folks so parents would not raise hell on the useless loss of american lives over these political led wars. Which then gave the president carte blanche to indulge in them at whim and fancy.
