Military causes panic over US cities..

Military Drills and Black Helicopters in U.S. Cities Spark Panic

I don't indulge in conspiracy theories, but these events are all over the net from folks that do like conspiracy theories.

Yet I am bothered by this. The citizens were not warned and the machine guns firing blanks scared the beejesus out of more than one citizen.

Supposedly this was a training mission for urban warfare. To be conducted in the middle east. Are they getting ready for an invasion of Iran? Or do we have to worry about the gov't knowing this ship is going down and are preparing to kill their own citizens in the chaos that will result when the ships starts to sink?

Regardless, this is the sort of stuff that I do not like. At least those citizens should have been informed the machine guns were shooting blanks! WTF? What if some old vets suffered heart attacks from the sound of automatic gun fire? No sir, I don't like this shit at all!

The thing is that there are training areas set up for this very thing on military posts. There is no need for them to have done this over civilian populations. Additionally, if these were Regular Army, and not National Guard, then they would have had to get permission from the state governor to carry out the training. If they did not get that then they were in violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.

When did breaking the law get in the way of this administration?

They assaulted a school with helicopters, troops and blanks.....without telling anybody in the neighborhood? They're damned lucky one of the locals didn't respond.

Were jus loyal subjects who should keep our head down and not worry about things above us such as national security and military training within our communities.

And that is what puzzles me so much! This isn't making sense to me. I cannot imagine this happening, yet it did!

I am surprised at this, but at least those people in those towns were warned and informed about the exercises. In the case of these that just happened, the citizens were not informed. Seems like the WRONG thing to do to me. Like the citizens are not worthy of being informed, and if some drop dead from a heart attack, so what? Where is the common respect for our citizens?

I try to be as supportive as I can of our military but this is way out of line. I don't give a shit when it started or under which administration but this is ridiculous.

Pretty disconcerting to me too. Looks like they not only didn't ask for permission, they didn't even inform the locals.
