This whole thread is a laugh. A bunch of people who didn't vote for Obama and would probably not likely to vote Dem ever so concerned on how the Dems are running there party. Lads most of ye here are far right politics you will never like Dems. The only thing the Dems and Obama have to do is not listen to ye... Whats the point... A Majority of the country doesn't want your views to be taken on board and rejected them in the last election...

So listening to aand acting on your views in undemocratic and probably unconstitutional...

How did you get to that Point?
Of say 3 billion that are in this country only 1.25 billion voted, of that 1.25 billion only 52% or just under 700 million where backing the Dems, so again , the question is How is 7-800 million a majority in this country?

Whats the matter ted, no access to current US polls in Ireland? The MAJORITY ( and by a lot larger margin than Obama won by) of US citizens DO NOT WANT the bill passed. Does that not mean anything to you?

Whats the matter Chaiss... Don't know the law.. Here is a tip in a republic you elect representatives and they run the country... Not you can quote all the polls you want but it is elections that matter...

your sense of what this country voted for is warped beyond logic, so your starting place is, well, not sensible.

As far as dems running their party, I guess I need to remind you we all deal with what they do and how they govern, the majority of folks don't want health care along the lines the far left warlocks and comm. heads want....this should be no surprise to you but I guess it is.

And guess what hoss, they aren’t listening anyway and that’s their problem, but I guess that passes you by too….

OK so it is 308 million and not 3 billion.... but the numbers still work
Of the 308 mil, 60% can vote, of the 184 mil that could vote only 55% or 101 mil vote.
So even if one takes it to 120 mil voting and one side wins by 55% of the vote that is? 66 mil telling the rest(240mil) how they are going to do things, hardly a majority of the country.

The US population is about 300 million.

And does anyone think that is not by design? And the excuse they have that they need to ramp up the fundung is bogus. Did they need to ramp up the funding for the porkulus bill? Did they need to ramp up the fundung for TARP? This is soooooo f'ing important that it needs to be done now...now...now? It stinks of a sham. We all know we can't trust these assholes. Well, apparently senior democratic congressional leaders are saying it is increasingly unlikely that a healthcare bill will be sent to the President this year. That doesn't sound consistent with Pelosi's declaration that "we won" last night.

Does anyone think that the democrats will be MORE likely to get the votes of their moderate members for the bill in its current form, without further watering it down as we get closer to an election?
