Rasmussen- Pelosi care drops like a rock

Well, first as I said 2 weeks ago, if they want to really push this thing they need a new spokesman, a far lefty whose org. which she heads with a 28% approval rating is a marketing nightmare, hello. Opposition to the plan has increased to a twelve-point lead again, after briefly dropping down to six points last week.

And so, a 3 pt drop in less than a week and there are some solid pluralities from every demographic as the lack of sppt for this bill. I suppose is this were any other bill with these numbers they would drop it, but the fact that for instance Pelosi cannot wean her ego and let say Hoyer whom comes off a great deal better in public opinion than she, take the stage and manage this, is because they are going to make “history” you see, and being the egotistical maniac she is, she cannot get her head around her own image, and she cannot share any credit.

Tidbits include-
Among independent voters, 58% now oppose this health care overhaul, with 50% of them strongly opposing it. Majorities of both men (54%) and women (53%) oppose it now.

IF the dems lose NJ too, things are going to get geometrically worse for her as to whip counts and sppt etc. and I cannot think of a nicer person to have it happen too.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced the House version of health care reform legislation last week, but most voters are still opposed to the effort.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s down from 45% a week ago but unchanged from two weeks ago.

Fifty-four percent (54%) now oppose the legislative effort, up three points since last week.

Pelosi and her lefties refuse to look at legit numbers that reflect how Americans feel about their fucked up proposal, yet still muster the gall to call republicans the party of NO.

They may have better luck with this if our country wasn't getting ready to hit the wall called "repaying our debt" that the DEMOCRATS seem to have no problem adding TRILLIONS upon TRILLIONS to.

We can't afford this.

PERIOD!

The more people find out about this, the less they like it and the less they want it.

Democrats push this at their own (political) risk

I'm surprised that none of the MSM discusses the huge black economy that forced HC would create. Granted, not everyone is in a position to do as much under the table business as they possibly can, but many are, and billions would be lost in the interest of escaping oppressive taxation. And if they can pull it off, good for them!

it will probably give employers reason to attempt to go back under the table with illegal workers

Well...just a bunch of tea-baggers.
Everyone who took the poll was probably hired by right-wing organizations.

Why just last night I was watching my usual 5 hours of MSNBC news...and there is no mention of anyone in America not being in total support of this lifesaving ordained bill.

I wouldn't be surprised if after the next elections they throw Pelosi overboard and elect a new Speaker. I'd like to see a nice centrist like Congressman Mike Ross of Arkansas.

Re: Rasmussen- Pelosi care drops like a rock

Is this really a surprise? They came back with the same crap that everyone didn't want last time...just a new name. So we get the same support (lack thereof) as last time. Most don't want mandates that punish them if they don't comply. Most do not want a govt option no matter what you call it. The last 3 months were obviously a complete waste of time with no new ideas.

Good news...the Republicans are saying they are coming out with a plan. The bad news...the Republicans are coming out with a plan. So it would seem that no matter what, we are going to get something that will make healthcare worse that we can't afford.

Well, if the GOP picked up the House, which I think is unlikely, Boehner would more than likely become the Speaker.

Re: Rasmussen- Pelosi care drops like a rock

Rasmussen is old and inaccurate news.

I wish you Republicans would stop trying to pass Rasmussen off as research. It is a house organ of the Republican Party owned by a British citizen who publishes phone books in the UK, and is trying to get popularity in America to open markets here. Wake-up, try Google!
