Oh get off it. I didn't suggest unregulated insurance. And I wasn't referring to just insurance regulation either. I said carefully get rid of the regulation that's primary function is to secure the profits of the vested interests. And you know damned well of a lot of it is just that.

Obomer said there was 500 billion of waste and fraud in Medicare alone, now who's fault is that? And by the way that 500 billion is taxpayer money that the government is wasting of our money. And that is just one of the many government run institutions. It would seem massive fraud is not just in the insurance industry. Try our government that trumps all fraud. Now I'm not for fraud for any company or government agency, but the biggest contributer of fraud is our big government.

Technically incorrect. Businesses need to cover all expenses to stay in business... profit is not 'required', but it is desired.

Well yeah you're technically right but who the hell is going to be in business for no profit? That would be stupid. So yeah a business has to make a profit to stay in business or otherwise what would be the point. Also what about personal expenses. If a business owner must make a profit to cover personal expenses.

I`m trying to see the bright side of this healthcare law. If it`s a disaster,we`ll be one step closer to universal healthcare that the civilized countries of the world enjoy. It will happen sooner or later.

I can't help but find this point view very ugly. And I'm not at all convinced it's true. Certain vested interests will reap benefits from this fiasco, but a lot of innocent people will suffer in the process.

Unfortunately, this perspective seems to be the dominant one in DC. I think most of them are smart enough to know HCR as passed won't work. But they desperately want to nationalize health care and are willing to run everything into the ground to achieve their goals.

Don't get me wrong... profit good.

However, there are countless non-profit organizations in the world, who are in business, and thrive. They make enough to run their programs, pay salaries, expenses, expand, etc., but show little to no 'profit' once these items are paid for.

Like I said, 'technically', profit isn't required, but in most cases, it is desired.

It will be a "fiasco" and as passed it "won`t work"? Do you have a crystal ball? I wouldn`t pay much attention to those fear mongering voices coming out of your radio. They`ve been wrong about everything from ACORN to Climategate.

A perfect example of the new law already not working is the growing number of insurance companies that are no longer selling children-only policies, because of the requirement in the law that prohibits them from denying coverage to or dropping children for pre-existing illness.

You mean the ACORN that was defunded because of waste and fraud?

As for climategatge, there is till zero consensus that man is the primary cause of any sort of climate change.

Do you? I'm referring to the frequent comments of "supporters" of the bill, who for the most part seem to realize it's piece of shit. But, as you echoed, they say that's ok because (they presume) it's a "step in the right direction".

No, actually they don't. It ruins their narrative.

So, what do you all think of health care reform law?
