Re: Should we let people die in the street
If you get cancer, with no insurance, going to the ER won't treat the cancer. I know a man who died of prostate cancer, because he could not afford the specialist, who wanted money to treat him. This happens everyday here in america.
The question that needs to be asked nationally, is do we want a healthy nation? Then put smart men, who are not ideologically driven to come up with a way to do that. And of course it can be done. But it has to be done in the most intelligent manner. But this would require a nation not based upon the "I", but instead, the "we". And of course cons would be against anything that involved the "we". They are distinct "I" people. This is the gulf between the left and the right. Yet the cons have no problem with the "we" during times of large wars. In fact, they demand that "we" engage the enemy. If cons seem inconsistent, of course they are. They pick and choose their "we's" and "I's".

Love one another as you love your self. The other is you, at the most fundamental level.
