Re: Mao's video

you also can see China allies' leader in this Video:Albania,Vietnam,Laos,N.Korea,Roumania.Cambod ia
of course, these countries are not China's ally any nore.Chinese don't believe any country today.we believe advantage.we don't believe friendship
anyway,although i don't like Mao,but i don't think he is evil.his policy is wrong,isn't mean he is a bad man.he has a good,kind heart,but he has a very bad policy

Re: Mao's video

I really don't understand why chinese people today would say they love Mao. I can understand that you'd consider him an important man for his part in fighting against the Japanese. But bringing about a soviet style government and all the people that died because of him, that's where I'd say the love ends. How do you know that any leader in the world has a kind heart? Especially when considering that Mao had a huge cult built around his person.

this is because we are Chinese.Chinese love Chinese, but not hate each other.Mao is Chinese too.so i don't hate him.he made much mistake, but i don't think this reason is not make us to hate him.
of course, some Chinese hate him, such as Fa Lungong, they even said:CCP believe Marx,Marx is a british,so Chinese is son of British....
anyway,I am not British.and not communist too.

In Anti-Japanese war,CCP's troops is a part of all Anti-japanese history in China.actually, the Main force is KMT's "Nation revolution Army国民革命军".different political background Chinese parties united to kick Japanese out of China.Mao's CCP is one of them, but not the Main force.

this is truth, many people complain Mao's policy(such as culture revolution) today, but I know not many people hate him.
Chinese can forgive him,but don't forget the lesson of Culture revolution and other political movement.that are all wrong policy
in a word:we can forgive,but we can't forget.

can you see any leader wish him country be a poor, weak country?
I can't see that leader.
late Dynasty Qing is a weak governement.in that period,Chinese lost lives,silver...but I can't say Dynasty Qing empressor wished different ethnic Chinese all die.I just can say,Dynasty Qing Government is a corrupt governement.ineffective.and i can't because Manchu's Qing Government lost much land then hate Manchu-Chinese.

So Chinese love other Chinese no matter what they do?

I just mean Chinese don't hate their leader.they maybe don't like him.but don't hate him
I don't know English lanague very well,in Chinese,"dislike" is not mean "hate"
actually,Chinese like do infighting/intestine strife.this is Chinese style, but Chinese always unite each other when they face threat from foreign country.
if possible, you can relize that how many Chinese still care Tiananmen square event happened in 1989.most Chinese don't interest in that event anymore.

Having a leader that is responsible to the deaths of so many seems like he himself was a threat.

Re: Mao's video

Mao's foolish economic policies, particularly the "Great Leap Forward" and forced collectivization of agriculture (the communes), resulted in substantial loss of life. Some estimated of that loss run upwards of 25 million people. Much of the output from the small cement factories and the backyard steel mills was virtually useless. These programs set China back some 25 years compared with what would have happened if Deng Xiaobing's policies had been followed that much earlier.

There is also dispute that the Communist party did not fight the Japanese very much, but did conserve their war material and armies in order to fight the Nationalists (Kuomintang) immediately after WWII was over. Legends about the 8th Route Army (Balujun) notwithstanding.

China did not become agricultural self-sufficient until the farm collective program was dismantled. The people never had sufficient consumer goods until at least limited free enterprise was restored. The next step will be to create a representative government where the Communist Party is only one of many legitimate political parties.

Mao fought a very corrupt Nationalist party, which was indistinguishable from warlordism. For that he gains reputation, but he imposed a dictatorial regime that both helped and hindered economic well being and political freedom. His legacy will remain forever mixed.
