And you'd be the half time spectacle. Somewhat amusing, but not taken seriously by either the players or the fans.

You occasionally do come up with a good/funny comment now and again.

I'll give you that, certainly.

That should be good for some further amusement.

I thought it was an excellent critique. Clinton could have stopped it. Ya. I agree.

Now if you're one of those that believe they just 'goofed up' when law stated clearly what they can and can't do, then imagine the nation in post-habeas corpus.

Heading towards a stalinist government? He couldn't be more correct and he used Waco, TX to illustrate that.

Okie dokie.

If you think I'm one of the Republican apologists, you are more mixed up here than you normally appear to be.

And there is nothing "Stalinist" about the US Government. If there was, they'd just shoot you to make you shut up.

Maybe I'm wrong. Can you show me a thread you created that initiated a conversation about something you feel strongly about? Please link it. I'd like to see it.
I'm sure I could show you any number of threads I've created or posts where I've expressed strong opinions (I have them on many issues - drug prohibition, preservation of civil liberties, anti-intellectualism to name a few). But I don't really feel any particular need to "prove" anything to you, your passive aggressive baiting notwithstanding.

Coming from someone whose general tone of discourse is hysterical shrieking, being told I don't "express opinions" strongly enough is like being told by a puritan that I am not discrete enough with my sexuality. I suppose I'll have to live with the rebuke while considering the source.

Is this addressed to me? If it is, what have I said at all in this thread about my political leanings? If you asked the person you mistakenly quoted, he would likely tell you that I'm some right-wing fascist. I find that being labelled by idealogues has virtually nothing to do with what I actually believe. What you think of me has only to do with what you believe - to you, anyone who argues with you must be a left winger, just like to conform, anyone who argues with him is a right winger.

Why don't you answer the question? Are you just here to judge people? Don't you have the balls to express your opinion? Why don't you educate yourself on the subject before criticizing people?!?

I was too scared to give my own personal opinion on it because it's too controversial and I might risk looking like someone from the fringe. So what I do is I play it safe and carefully choose posts that just seems looney because it's not in popular media and respond to those. That way I can participate without really having to disseminate my own view but rather attempt to decimate others by calling them folks from the fringe.

Maybe if I'm in a good mood I'll blurt out opinions on drug use and sex crimes to show that I have opinions that are unique and different from people of the fringe as I stay in line with 'mainstream' thought.

If someone really tries to anchor me into giving an opinion on a controversial subject that may go against the grain with my fellow posters I'll just declare ignorance to play it safe. But in the end, I'm just here to play referee with folks that have opinions and heckle people I consider weirdos. Hey, all's fair in politics, aye?

I must say, this new side of you is refreshing. It's the first post I've seen by you that didn't conjure up a mental image of someone wide-eyed and shrieking.
