Painful truth tends to do that. Tebbits was an arsehole. Tebbits is no more.
Sarcasm is redundant.

You do realize that referring to the Middle-East, it does cover a large area which includes numerous nations and even more tribes and ethnic groups. "kill 'em all!" mentality is both childish and dangerous.
And that kind of thinking makes others feel the same about your home, did that ever crossed your mind?

Funny seeing you claiming that someone else is a ignorant one.
Palestinians are taught to hate by older generations who refuse to make their lives better for them and for their children, but instead harbour hatred towards the conquerer. That is utter stupidity.
But one side being a fool should be enough.

One would expect a thread about a mass-murderer to attract those of like mind. And sure enough, genocide is suddenly not so bad after all. Lol.

Those pigs have already expressed their views of the United States. I wonder if they ever considered the effects their opinions might have on others about their countries...

Steve is advocating genocide. It's not everyday that somebody does, so I'm surprised you didn't notice.

Once again, if you've got an alternative scenario that would have ended the war with less of a loss of life on all sides, I'd very much like to hear it.

Great attitude Steve. I am only guessing that you're judging tens of millions of people based on what you see of the actions a very small minority. Does that mean we can judge every US citizen based on the actions of Fred Phelps?

Why is that then ? Are you incapable of imagining something preferable to the mass incineration of hundreds of thousands of civilians ? Twice ?

Oh my... this is real bull crap... This "The Hiroshima Atomic Bomb saved lives on both sides" crap is so weak... it's feel good propaganda...

You know what would have saved alot of lives on both sides? Making a peace... As I understand it, Japan was seeking peace a long time before the A-Bomb was dropped!
Why surrender has to be uncondional is dubious to me... of course it depends on the conditions but if the conditions are acceptable why not?
This was a major alternative at the time... but they decided to drop the bombs...

The only way this argument makes sense is if you take it into historic perspective...
The other alternative to peace talks was Operation Downfall which included the use of seven Atomic bombs and chemical weapons...

So, Yes the Hiroshima Bombings weren't as bad as Operation Downfall would have been... but there were MUCH better alternatives when it comes to saving lives...

It's not so much genocide as it is sound global principle...

The Japanese proved they were not to be trusted:

Japanese Note To The United States December 7,1941 (Scroll down to "III").

The message was scheduled to be delivered at 7:45am (in Hawaii), only thirteen minutes before the first air raid alarm was sounded. This means that the planes were already enroute to Pearl Harbor at the very time the note was supposed to be handed to the Americans. The Japanese decided that negotiations would not continue.

Accordingly, why would we care that they were "seeking peace"?
