This is getting ridiculous. Are you even reading my posts befroe you respond to them?
You said "they are supposed legislate, not hold it up"
I responded "Nowhere in the constitution or in our history is there any requirement that congress produce a certain amount of legislation"
You responded "No one said there was"
Your complaint that they should not "hold it up" was shown to be meaningless when I pointed out there is no requirement to produce a certain amount of legislation. I really don't know why you are pretending you don't know what my point was.

It does no such thing. As I've already expained once, "I merely pointed out the difference between the unitary nature of the executive and the collegial nature of congress" If there is something about that statement which you don't comprehend I will be glad to answer any questions you may have about its meaning.
RESPONSE: And I said, " it certainly IMPLIES that

Yes you did. But without any explanation of HOW it implies that. I don't see how it implies anything of the kind. If you have any specific questions about the meaning of any specific words in my statement I will be happy to explain them to you. but don't try to change the meaning of a simple statement to fit your own idea of what you want me to mean.

You are disagreeing that he was elected by his congressional peers? Or that they elected him to exercise this power on their behalf? I'm sorry but that makes no sense. What could possibly cause you to disagree with such an obvious assertion? If you are unaware (and apparetnly you are) of the speaker's function maybe you should go here and read about it.
RESPONSE: No,----then Yes. then TOOOOOO BAD. He was not elected king or dictator.

I have no idea what this means.

You are obviously welcome to your opinion. But it might be a good idea to post some plausible reason why you believe that.
RESPONSE: Not at all necessary, but I already have. HE WAS NOT ELECTED KING OR DICTATOR. but simply to represent his fellow members, besides, I am just complaing about going overboard with his authority.
|
No you certainly have not. I have no idea what this king or dictator nonsense is all about but i have found nothing in any of your posts or in any of the contents of the webpage I linked or in any other material describing the speaker's duties and powers which supports your contention.
You should really try to produce some rational argument that explains why you think this behavior exceeds the rightfuil exercise of his office. Until you do there's really nothing further to discuss.
