Re: Whats the Rule on Good friday?

Catholics don't eat meat on Fridays between Ash Wednesday and Easter.

When I was growing up in France, the Catholic tradition prohibited eating meat on any Friday. We ate fish. Even though I don't subscribe to any religion today (though I am spiritual), I still try to observe this custom out of a sense of personal meditation.

I remember as a kid having fish sticks at school every Friday because of that tradition. (We have many Catholics in the area.) Somewhere along the line though, the tradition was relaxed and now most just observe it during Lent.

You can eat whatever you like, so long as you're aware that God strikes people down with various plagues for eating the wrong things.

Personally, every Friday is a good Friday!

On Good Friday you can only eat brains, in honor of zombie Jesus.
