propaganda if you will.. honestly my greatest fear in the world today. its sickening, the power of it, the evil it can commit others to do. its how nazi germany did its deeds.

usually you might think of me posting something about palestinian propaganda, encouraging people to kill themselves.. well thats not why im having this thought.. actually..

theres a evangelical christian group passing out flyers, proclaiming the pope john paul the second (recently deceased one) is a nazi .. and that all catholics are evil and want to destroy all other religions and gh bush and ronald reagon were part of the conspiracy.. although he said it in a way that was almost believable... to someone less alert then myself....

little tricks iv noticed... he would say things and then site ligitimit sources in this way...

then they would cite it so that it looked like they were citing the entire sentence, in reality they would site it refering to the type of chemical the nazis used to kill the jews... very clever.. very wrong and misleading. an appearance to make things look more offical and well researched..

He would also in his pamphlets, id take cause i like reading stuff and im bored.. but he would piece togethor different quotes from the bible, all over the place to make a paragraph that said what HE wanted to say...
(imagine rearranging the sentences in any book , you could make it say whatever you wanted it to say)

Aparrently bush the first had his group (Tony alamos New jerusalem) listed as a cult and have him under survelience and investigation.. and hes angry that his members were captured and "deprogramed" as he says...
all on based upon a catholic conspiracy of world domination..

well good i hope hes shut down hes a dangerous character... extremely intelligent (yes i consider anyone who can quote the bible in such away to trick and fool the masses to be diabolicly intelligent)

I am very wary of the power of propaganda.. lies.. exaggeration...people willing to believe what some crack pot makes up and hands out to people.... I really think it could be the down fall of civilization, it could lead to facism, genocide..... of any kind against anyone .

please please please dont fill your head with one sided information.. there is no such thing as a perfect idea or a perfect ideology a perfect country or a perfect religion... please be well aware of your beliefs falacies understand what the argument against them are.. please dont only read material consistant to what you believe......everything is way way to complex for one ideology or one belief.

Indeed. For the most part I agree with you, except about the part that he should be shut down.

I don't like any propaganda, but I'm especially concerned when it starts coming from our government.

Don't get all your news from Fox...

Or CNN, NBC, ABC, BBC... or any other news organization! Watch them all, read everything you can, learn about every idea you can. Try to understand what people really believe and why they believe it! Be skeptical, don't always trust your government, don't always believe your pastor, trust in yourself to find what is most true for you. Reconcile your differences and oppose hatred and ignorance. This is my mantra.

id really hope that people try to look for reputiable sources rather then for other peoples oppinions and trying to look for alternative histories and things in places other then your encyclopedia's and respected news sources.
in fact i would highly recommend not reading any oppinions at all.. just look at straight facts and statistics and come up with your own.

Yeah. The religious right LOVES to twist the words of the bible to make it seem as if it says something that it really doesn't. Don't worry, it doesn't take much intelligence. You can make the bible or any religious crap like that say anything you want to... becuase half of it is how you interpret the message. Unfortunately many people are stupid and are easily persuaded by propaganda and misinformation like this. Even though I'm not Catholic or Christian or religious in any way, I believe that John Paul II was a great person and it's awful that someone would lie about him like that. They may as well lie about Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi too. But hey, people are assholes.

the reason im worried about him is because hes on the radio throughout the world.. hes started churches in several places in america plus in africa and else where.. also he offers free room and board food and transportation....

of course this is also a veiled comment about all who find questionable information interesting or as a source of thier oppinions... such as holocaust deniers and anyone who listens to any sort of alternate histories.
