It's pretty obvious that my concern starts if and when tax dollars start going to this program. I've been pretty clear that I don't care what's done with private funds.

Is that, somehow, unclear?

Yet, in the OP, you DO surmise that it's a complete load of crap to use private funds for this program. Heck, you put it right in the title of the thread!

Sorry if I offended you, Steve, but yes it was unclear. From the beginning of this thread it has always been about private money and you have characterized it as "crap".

I wasn't necessarily referring to your personal attitude--I don't know you beyond your posts here--I was talking about a very prevalent attitude in the populace of this country.

How in the fuck do you get "bitter hatred" from that?

Lol...j/k, relax..anyway....? so we will pay people to look out for their own best interests ..in short, bribe people to behave in a fashion that would be better for society....humm, damn it (rummaging my around old mao/uncle joe treasure chest)where’s that copy of the 5 year plan when I need it?...
This is just another huge bureaucratic nightmare in the making and a different form of welfare...no thanx.

Re: What A Bunch Of Crap...

To all who want to pay people to go to the doctor:

Yes, I believe the concept of paying people to go to the doctor and do good on tests and stay out of trouble is complete horseshit, regardless of where the money comes from. I hope that clears that up.

That private funds are being used (initially, anyway) makes it only an iota better. But private funds will run out, and the "down-trodden" who grew accustomed to the program are going to want to keep it. Guess where that money's coming from...

you know what will happen ..the same thing that happens to charities that show promise..the government steps in and says; “ hey, you're doing great stuff, let us give you some money” of course they take it....for a while all is welll BUT...they become dependent on it.........they then start ignoring the base of contributors that got them there and eventually they become a government entity sucking off the taxpayer when they were doing fine before the government got invloved..and when the gov. starts throwing money at you, the org. is DONE....they then become just another agency that needs funds to sustain itself, and exceeds its mandate by going beyond itself, and winds up a waste of tax payer dollars ......and they NEVER EVER die....
