I think its important to add a timeline as to when in their lives one would meet them. I'd like to meet Alexander the great before he invaded then weeks before his death. To experience and learn of, if any, changes in his character etc.
anyway- J. Caesar during his gallic conquests Galileo after the edict Teddy Roosevelt ..in 1912 after the election

I think I have to change my list a bit:
off with Vincent Furnier ( Alice Cooper), on with Pontius Pilate. I mean Jesus Christ is often mentioned as a "wanted to meet" candidate, fine; but at least someone should care to hear the unfiltered other side of story.
