if homosexuals and christianity are at war, then it's the christians who are the aggressors. that much should be obvious even to you, trips.

Of course the media would add that "undertone."
Like homosexuals, the media is at war with Christianity.
This is roundy denied by all of course, but this is what is going on.
The people in the media know that if they can put Christians in this kind of "picture frame," it won't help Chritianities image overall.
That this is a desperate tactic is clear. Why the desparation ?
Christianity is being fed, its being "stoked" by what is going on in the world. The more it is attacked and persecuted by "laws," by criminals (and criminals who make "laws"), by atheist writers filled with hate writing books, by people who have allowed themselves to be ruled by their organic urges, the more it will grow.
As I was saying above, these dummies at that baptist "church" are a perfect opportunity for the media to make Christianity look bad. What would be truly surprising is if they (the media) weren't doing what they're doing.

Yeah, 'cause lord knows there's tons of incidents of gays waiting outside churches to kick the shit out of Christians.

lol TRIPS! what on earth have the gays done to attack christianity in this supposed war? of course we can disagree on the merits of homosexuality and its effects on society in general, but seriously, are there large, organized, well-funded groups of gay people going around condemning christianity in all its forms?

Just as a point of interest to anyone, I'm linking the SCOTUS oral argument transcript from Snyder v Phelps. Margie Phelps, the daughter of Fred Phelps and a licenced KS lawyer, argued for WBC.

Fascinating read. As I'm browsing through I find Breyer's question to Summers
to be right at the heart of where freedom of speech in the age of the internet is going to be addressed.Do you think they can put anything on television even if it attacks, say, the most private things of a private individual?
I also find it amusing that Sotomayor refers to the "Iran war".
I don't recall any recent war in Iran involving US marines but, then again, I'm not a "wise latina".If I am talking to you as a Marine, if you were a Marine, and I was talking about the Iran war and saying that you are perpetuating the horrors that America's doing and said other things that were offensive, would you have a cause of action because you are being called a perpetrator of the American experience?
The exchange between Alito and Phelps is pretty entertaining and Phelps may be a vile, nasty hateful person but she's not an idiot.

He's never been promoted as a wise latina either
I'm sick and tired of my brothers and sisters dying to preserve America's right to drive like assholes.
