I love that, I don't read any of the good books and I know there is no hell ... if God passed gas ... all you would smell is love. If God pissed on you ... you would be bathed in comfort. I have no idea if God does any of those things ... just stating God's nature is love.

Eh, Ron Paul fits the bill for that.

Re: And the atheist movement begins...

I work with a guy who is trying to convert me.
He's not a very good salesman because I know more about Christianity than he does.
In fact, I often lecture him about Paul's original intention of creating a religion without commandments but that encourages ACTS of kindness, charity, a loving messiah.
    And why not?
What's so bad about what Paul wanted and the message of TNT?

Does such a religion require someone to walk into the room and say to an adherent, "You're a fool for believing.".
This in your face behavior is rather insulting when you consider the fact that nearly 100% of it's adherents are not liars, cheaters and murderers.
So a religion gets perverted by some evil SOB; do evil people need religion as a beard to commit atrocities?

    Just blowing off some steam.

Fishjoel claimed there would be a "flashpoint" over atheism on page one and you "liked" it. From the very same page, Thanatos claimed that "atheists have to pushing their brand of hate and bigotry for over half a century" and two others even "liked" that post. Then Damn Yankees claimed that atheists "are the least tolerant of Christianity, and go to great lengths to suggest that we are forcing our beliefs onto them", and you and two others "liked that post". That was just from page one! Not to mention that Blue Doggy keeps insinuating that atheists can't possibly have any morals and no so-called Christians in this forum even bother to disagree with him. If you can't see the obvious double standard here, it won't do any good at all for me to dig up dozens of other examples from this thread alone, much less any other which even mentions atheists.

So what exactly is so terrible about someone claiming that religion is a fairy tale in context with these incessant attacks on atheism and deliberate falsehoods about it? Why is that so offensive to so many Christians, but poking fun at Muslims and even burning Korans "accidentally" is perfectly fine? That it is perfectly acceptable to even openly hate the ACLU and atheists?
Damn, if your comprehension problem is so freaking bad, maybe you need to get your head checked out. READ THE FREAKING POST AGAIN. I said the APPROACH was stupid...why is that so difficult to understand???????? \'Wjere did I say that burning Korans was fine???? Don't be accusing me of shit you can't back up because I won't freakign stand for it. When did I say I hated atheists??????? I freaking didn't. Your stupid bullshit is getting old little man...either get your facts straight or get the hell out of here.

I'm getting the same thing. It's like I'm saying one thing and then he just writes w/e he wants in a response w/o there really being any connection between his post and what he is quoting. It's like the forum Twilight Zone.

    For the most part...Yes.
Centuries before they would have had to become Talmudic scholars or outright converted to Islam.
Not only that, most of their "original" theories come right out of the Talmud; once again available in English from ArtScroll.

Try reading some of the verses prior to God's "atrocities" before you shoot your mouth off out of ignorance.

I can't wait till you start blaming the Syrian atrocities on Israel.

You know what I find fascinating...Jewish scripture doesn't paint our ancestors as sh!tting gold. All the warts are there to see and then every jackbrain comes running out of the woodwork screaming, "You see how evil those Jews are; even their Bible says so."
Well, if we're so damn smart, why did we keep all the REALITY in the books?
We would have cut it all out.
Maybe because there's NOTHING to hide.

Now go read something in context before you once again display your pride in your ignorance.

Only once again, that "approach" isn't really taken by hardly anybody, so it is patently absurd to insinuate it is.

And I merely asked if you felt the same way about Muslims as many obviously do in this forum.

Why is YOUR comprehension problem "so freaking bad".

When Moslems are using Korans to send messages to each other in order to kill people, burn the damn Korans and the messengers with them.

I for one must admit that I get nervous whenever I am the vicinity of a Moslem.
Somehow, people wearing crosses don't scare me at all.

So it is perfectly fine to completely disrepect others' religious views, as well as the actual views of prominent atheists and agnostics. Just not your own. Got it.

Only it isn't "common" at all despite your claims that it has happened "a hundred times in this forum". Do you have any credible source for this allegation?

So you still won't respond to the question, or explain why you don't try to condemn those who incessanty act "childish" towards Muslims, atheists, and agnostics in this forum? Why the double standard?
