Good for her, I say. I am glad she succeeded despite our dear, esteemed POTUS's lack of involvement. (Wonder how his half brother-who-lives-in-a-hut is doing, not that it would matter to Barry).

Its not over till the illegal wins... how many appeals did it take at taxpayer expense? Will the feds appeal now, nope?
Are vital U.S. interests more imperiled by what happens in Iraq where were have 50,000 troops, or Afghanistan where we have 100,000, or South Korea where we have 28,000 -- or by what is happening on our border with Mexico?...What does it profit America if we save Anbar and lose Arizona?

anyone really believe Barry had nothing to do with it?
IF it is so bad in Kenya then why is the grandmother and other family members still living there?
The taxpayer paid nothing. Immigration courts are civil proceedings. She hired Margaret Wong and Associates, a private nationally syndicated immigration firm, to represent her.

Sooooo...*scratches head*
I guess she can move to Arizona now?
Actually, it was Dubya more than anything:
Riehl World View: Oh No! Obama's Aunt: "I Loved George Bush!"Oh No! Obama's Aunt: "I Loved George Bush!"
Well, the headline had to be written, but that doesn't mean Obama's Aunt Onyango has turned on him. She hasn't. What's interesting is how her deportation case is proceeding. I have a hard time believing that she will be deported, despite Obama having cut her off completely since taking office.
"I loved President Bush," Onyango said while moving toward a framed photo of Bush and his wife standing with Barack and Michelle Obama at the White House on inauguration day. "He is my No. 1 man in my life because he helped me when I really needed that help." . . .
Dubya is very popular on the whole in Africa given the Bush and GOP attention, aid and other assistance given to them during the Bush/GOP tenure, much of which motivated by Religious Right missionary work there. That includes asylum.

So what? That IMO doesn't count for what was suggested. If the government sues you making claims against you, then that's on them. Each side bears the cost of their own claims against the other(s) in a civil case; that's the way it works in the US unless a statute says otherwise (and in such statutory exception cases, the person making the claims must win). Moreover, she won the case. She's therefore not illegally here.

How is it Bush? I assume you are blaming Bush because she was allowed to stay here before the election so there could be no one claiming the republicans are punishing Barry's relative.
Now she will be qualified for all the social programs this nation and the state has to offer.
The others have not been a focus of news outlets. Why aren't you asking the same question about every relative, no matter how distant, that he has?
I'm not blaming Bush. I am pointing out that she credits Bush for the reasons she stated and what I said as to why she is here. That includes Kenya and I know families who got asylum during his tenure. Bush is actually very popular in Africa for the reasons I said. That's certainly no insult to him and actually to his legacy's credit.
Not true.

The notion (apparently implied by the OP) that Barry was involved is invalid. Are you disappointed that this woman reached her goal without Barry's help?Again: so what? Not necessarily. Are you only concerned with what 'news outlets' focus on?
