Workers at Swift & Co. meatpacking plants in six states were arrested Tuesday by federal agents in synchronized raids aimed at nabbing immigrants working illegally with other people's identification.

Federal officials would not say how many people were brought into custody, but union officials and others said hundreds were swept up.

swift says they used a gov. mechanism where in they checked out the status of these folks by running their SS numbers ..Something along those lines.....I am glad they did this and to be fair to swift, the gov. bureaucracy is not something to put a lot of faith in..I would not be surprised to hear that swift did indeed run most of the numbers through the system and not received anything flagging them back…….

what gets me is the usual chattering lib media, we got a dose out here as to how the arrested illegals, had families who had no idea were to find them, had no other support for their kids, picking them up from school etc…….I am not aware of a law the forces the gov. state etc. to make provisions for a criminal’s family after their arrest…they knew that were illegal, they knew the chances…they also knew they had bought there documents off the street and this could happen…..I would reunite them with their families and ship them back…..get it over with.
