Russia may set up organization to monitor human rights in America
The whole world is concern about Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, Mistreatment of black and Hispanic population, violation of freedom of speech and introduction of new amendments in USA constitution that virtually lead to fascism in America
All of what’s happening in a world's military power can have disasters consequences on the rest of the globe and the world has right to be concerned for USA and for itself. The United States is knowingly violating Article 54 of the Geneva Convention which prohibits any country from undermining "objects indispensable to the survival of (another country's) civilian population," including drinking water installations and supplies, says Thomas Nagy, a business professor at George Washington University. Nagy cites recently declassified documents that show the United States was aware of the civilian health consequences of destroying Iraq's drinking water and sanitation systems in the Gulf War, and knew that sanctions would prevent the Iraqi government from repairing the degraded facilities. The US Army Inspector General, on the one year anniversary of the Abu Ghraib scandal, announces that no senior US military officer will be held accountable; only Brigadier General Janis Karpinski is relieved of her command and reprimanded. The transparent and utterly shameful whitewash provokes an eloquent denunciation by commentator Joe Conason: "In this disgraceful story, accountability diminishes with every ascending link in the chain of command. Miller and Sanchez at least were criticized in official reports, but Rumsfeld, former CIA director George Tenet and Gonzales haven't endured even that degree of discomfort. They haven't even been investigated." Russia with the support of Cuba and the rest of the free world decided to take the action and to up organization to monitor human rights in America and the western world in general. After all the American and UK people deserve human rights, democracy and protection from unlimited power of corporate oligarchs like G. W. Bush as much as any other people on earth. http://www.interfax.ru/e/B/politics..._issue=11670348 MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - A public organization may be set up in Russia to monitor the observance of human rights and freedoms in Western countries, Public Chamber member and lawyer Anatoly Kucherena told Interfax. Kucherena said he would come up with an initiative to establish a human rights organization responsible for monitoring the observance of freedom of speech and the fundamental human rights in the United States, Europe and other Western nations. "We are used to hearing criticism targeting mainly only Russia and remarks pointing to shortcomings in our country. Why not carry out measurements on the problem of human rights and the fundamental freedoms in the U.S. and Europe?" he said. Kucherena accused some human rights organizations in the West of having a tendentious and biased approach toward the observance of human rights in Russia.
