Palestinian mass shooting of children in Israel

Given the enomorous proliferation of anti-Israel threads on the Forum of late, and the propensity of some members to mainatin the "evil zionists" are responsibe for so much death and destruction in the region; I'd be interested in reading the thoughts of those members to this latest incident. A Palestinian man has killed 8 students in a Jewish school, and the Hamas govt in Palestine has praised the slaughter of these students.

Israel closes West Bank after school shooting

The Israeli army says it has sealed off the occupied West Bank in the wake of a Palestinian attack at a Jewish religious school in Jerusalem that killed eight teenagers.

"We have imposed a strict closure on Judea and Samaria (West Bank) until Saturday night," an army spokeswoman said.

The move came hours after a Palestinian from occupied and annexed east Jerusalem, entered the Merkaz Harav Yeshiva in predominantly Jewish west Jerusalem and started firing upon civilian teenagers.

But Israel says it does not want the killings to derail peace talks.

Thousands of mourners poured into Jerusalem to take part in open-air funerals for the victims, aged 15 to 26.

Palestinian militant group Hamas has praised the attacks, calling it a natural reaction to Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Arye Merkel says there is an essential difference between today's attack and Israeli offensives in Gaza.

"We attack terrorists and unfortunately in a situation of war it happens that some civilians are also hurt," he said.

Re: Palestinian mass shooting of children in Israel

If you read a good spread of media reports, noahath, you'll discover that a fairer appraisal of those killed is as military students, armed, and at the forefront of the hated settler movement in the West Bank.

These look like targeted assassinations, just as the Zionists have a policy of the extra-judicial executions of those opposed to them. What do you say to that ?

I see no difference whatsoever. Except that this attack followed Zionist attacks which killed 120 Palestinians.
