It's so nice to see the Chinese leading the way for strong, peaceful, and fair diplomatic relations!

China is being forced by international pressure to "talk" with the Dalai Lama. I predict the the day after the Olympic closing ceremony, all talks will cease. It's all for show, and there's no real substance behind it.

But if Japanese wouldn't abandon militarism and Japan government didn't stop enrouraging militarism ,
there must be full of matters in the relations between China and Japan!

Of course, Nanjing was one of several autrocities the Japanese Empire has under its belt from WWII. Nasty business all around from the Japanese, at that time.

When Fujinuma Ai(A Japanese sporter of PingPong) ran with Olympic torch,
almost every Chinese loved this lovely Japan girl!
I think her smile may be the future of relations between China and Japan if there's no militarism of Japanese!

She is adorable. And, this is what the Olympics is supposed to do. Allow nations to put aside their politics and enjoy sports at its best. It may help mend a lot of animosity and emotions from the populations of some countries towards others.

I think the only militarism from the Japanese is courtesy of the USA. It's pretty much been that way since WWII.

Re: China sends Olympics warning to Dalai

I admit surprise that it is China that is worried about militarism in Japan. I see a lot of similarities between China today and Japan 100 years ago relative to military build up and modernization. We all know where that ended up in the 1930s and 40s
