You say that all Chinese should live in peace. Yet Taiwanese should belong to you, or they are to be put to the knife?
That is hardly peaceful, that is totalitaristic.
And yes, Taiwan is independent. THey have their own form of goverment, own standing army.
How many nations have not recognized her independence?

I think west politics have known that if Taiwan announced independence, not only Mainland and Taiwan would face war but also east Asia and more area of the world would face and suffer war!
Any responsible politic won't encourage Taiwan to annouce independence!
