But in fact, not every area of American is good for being followed by China!
Such as Sharon, CNN, there's something that have told us that America is
something wrong in somewhere!
Such as Iraq war, it's an evil action by USA!
OK, OK, so you LIKE censorship. We here in America do not. One of our
forefathers said, "I do not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it." Clearly, you would fight to the death to shut me up.

And for what it's worth, I came away from China having far more respect for her and her people that I do now after this hateful little discourse with YOU! If your mission is diplomacy, you have failed.

This is a forum, not the Ministry of Foreign Affairs!

People in America have freedom of speech, and sometimes those words can hurt or offend. Some laws try to prevent those words, for example "defamation laws," but Americans are mostly free to say their opinions in public. Some opinions may be stupid and cruel, but most Americans would still stand up for a person's freedom to say those opinions. We don't like the idea of censorship.

Just look at all of the talk about Bush and the United States government on this message board. I am mostly free to offend my government and my leaders, and protest my laws. I can protest online, I can protest outside my home, I can protest in Washington. You say not every area of America is good for China to follow, and I agree. But is the freedom to criticize your government and leaders one of those areas?

Why we Chinese must stand smearing from USA?
Can we be angry?I think we have such right!
If American continue indulging such body or things, many many bodies over global will hate you!
You may think Sharon's words is only Sharon's words!

Hurt? Really? So how was anyone 'hurt' by their words. Pissed off, maybe. But 'hurt?' I don't think so.

Yes, the US has its share of political problems, and Americans can say foolish things. But all countries have problems and foolish people. I don't know why American mistakes might get more attention, but I do not think it is because we have more fools than others.

And no, China does not have to accept anti-Chinese words, and you can certainly be angry about those words. But in America, these words cannot be censored, just like anti-American words cannot be censored.

Yes, but remember that there are Americans with good things to say about China as well. Saying a smart good thing about China will not get a lot of media attention compared to saying a stupid bad thing about China, though. Also, Sharon may be American, but many other (maybe most) Americans do not agree with her words, and most Americans are not famous and do not get media attention.

Many Americans simply do not like the way your government does some things, like the way it manages the media or imprisons some people that criticize it. The People's Republic gets criticized for these reasons, not to insult Chinese pride. I haven't been to China and I haven't lived there, so I don't know what living under the Republic is like, but many Americans think there is very little freedom. Would you agree?

No one is required to LIKE your opinions.

I have to say that I DO still have friends in China. It is clear you are NOT one of them.

Oh, I don't wish you liking, my guys!
And I am here not for friends!
I only express my opinions, I won't care your feelings!
If you don't like my opinions, you can ignore them!
It's very lucky that you are not my friend!

Yes, you are right!
But because "Saying a smart good thing about China will not get a lot of media attention compared to saying a stupid bad thing about China", and
people of other countries have no any responsibility to analyze who are saying, they have to criticize and hate American!I think this is not mistake of people of other conutries!
I know many people of USA is very kind! But not everybody of China or other country will think as you or me!
Yes, we Chinese's freedom is more small than you!
But our freedom is becoming more and more well!
Our government is trying to improve this state!
And Chinese don't think freedom is the most important!
Food, money, almost everything in life is more important than freedom in China!
Most Chinese almost has no time to enjoy freedom!
They must strive for good life!Because we are poor!

It can be difficult for us to understand why some cultures do not value freedom like American culture. This is a very big difference between US and China, and may be why many do not get along well, or why some Americans say foolish things like Sharon Stone. Even with these differences, though, I think a good relationship between the US and China might be best for the world, even if the relationship is shaky.

By the way, nice English. I hope to learn Chinese someday.

Not very difficult, all are for our more hard life than USA!
You can go to China to experience our life if you have time!

China sounds like an interesting place. Anyway, goodnight.

And my avatar is a basketball player for the Boston Celtics. I don't know if you follow Chinese players in the NBA, but, hopefully Yao Ming returns to full health next season.
