It's very lucky that you are not my friend!
Well you know, expressing opinions is all that some Americans have done and you want to change our entire system of government and censor us. So what gives you more right to express and unpopular opinion that us?????

It would seem that you have quite the double standard, there.

Good thing you aren't looking for friends. 'Cause you don't seem to be making any.

I'm not big on basketball like Luap, here, but I DO like a good Jackie Chan movie!

Oh pal, donīt make it too hard for me.

Controlling and censoring speech IS brainwashing.

In China (and russia and vietnam and and and ...) people are brainwashed daily.

But no fear, the same thing happens in the USA. Brainwashing there is done very subtle, starting from kindergarden through school and university right into daily life via press and TV.
Thatīs why US americans believe they are the cream of the planet.
(though most of them are merely the foam at the mouth)

They only hear what they are supposed to hear. But they still use the argument:
We are free to hear it.

Konrad Adenauer, the first chancellor of the FRG once said:
Put a roof over the US and you get the biggest nuthouse in the world.

Have a nice saturday.

Thank god that did not happen.

The world could not compensate for 1,5 billion nutheads.

It does not appear that way the way you are posting.

OK, OK, so you LIKE censorship. We here in America do not. One of our
forefathers said, "I do not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it.
" Clearly, you would fight to the death to shut me up.

And for what it's worth, I came away from China having far more respect for her and her people that I do now after this hateful little discourse with YOU! If your mission is diplomacy, you have failed.

So Voltaire is one of your forefathers ?

And youīre sure that the news you get are not censored ?

And you believe, everything the Washington Post writes is true.

Wake up kid, look around you and realise that you live in big Brothers animal farm.

How was that:
Some animals are more equal than others - and we ALWAYS tell the truth, especially when we lie.

I can just imagine you in a foreign country, listening with a smile to your guide and starting every answer with
WELL IN AMERICA WE DO.......

Re: An old news -- CNN president apologizes for Jack Cafferty's remarks on China

Who you have met can't represent all Chinese!
Try to touch more Chinese!
We know America is better than China in many areas!
But in fact, not every area of American is good for being followed by China!
Such as Sharon, CNN, there's something that have told us that America is
something wrong in somewhere!
Such as Iraq war, it's an evil action by USA!

I really am not allowed to touch anymore Chinese since the restraining order. We could go into a whose more evil conversation here with Chinese support for Darfur and such, but China has been so important to our developing economy and to Walmart especially I'd rather not fight. I know that Sharon Stone's words might have stung, but at least you Chinese were spared from Basic Instinct 2. In the end, I think you got the better end of the deal.

Just look at all of the talk about Bush and the United States government on this message board. I am mostly free to offend my government and my leaders, and protest my laws. I can protest online, I can protest outside my home, I can protest in Washington. You say not every area of America is good for China to follow, and I agree. just four here, I could give you hundreds more.
No censorship ?
Free speech ?

Actually, I still correspond with one of my Chinese guides. Never thought to compare notes on how things are done. But I'm very careful not to put him i the position of saying anything controversial. The last foreign country I was in, I gave a speech and got a standing ovation.

Seriously, I doubt you can imagine me at all.

Sheehan has had her 15 minutes of fame. Free speech does not equate with disorderly conduct, which is a crime.

No, some peope are just idiots irrespective of where they live. After Hurricane Katrina struck Louisiana two years go, there were many who claimed that the weather was a result of immoral activity in the area. It was a nonsensical comment ... just as Sharon Stone's was nonsensical. To make more of it than was intended, or to somehow conjur up that Sharon Stone was speaking for the entire west is just plain idiocy and wrong.

XY,
You need to chill when someone in the media or a celebrtity provides an opinion, whether Westerner, Chinese, or anyone else. Do not take it so personally. Let it go.

Thank you , I will chill!
I can chill,my friends can chill also, but I can't ensure that all other Chinese will chill!
I have said that when Sharon Stone violated a taboo, the first response of Chinese was that it's an American !

XY,
I am not asking or suggesting all chill. I am just stating one should never take too personally what a celebrity says, no matter how insensitive or where they come from.
