Napolitano, McCain & the Terrorist Myth
CTV.ca | U.S. security boss clarifies comments about border
http://www.9-11commission.gov/staff_...tatement_1.pdf US Consulate, Jedda, Saudi Arabia Office This past week, both Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano, and presidential candidate John McCain re-asserted the falsehood that some of the 9/11 terrorists entered the United States through Canada. There is no proof of this. The 9/11 Commission Report asserts that all of the hijackers were issued American documents, and that they entered the U.S. legally, despite the fact that 2 of the terrorists had what the DHS called "fraudulent" applications. America spends more money per capita on military and intelligence than any other nation on earth, and more money than the next 12 countries combined. It is clear that no amount of money that's thrown into intelligence spending will overcome the obvious fact that America suffers from a deficit of intelligent people to decifer information. Michael Springmann, the subject of the link on Jedda, worked at the U.S. embassy there and now makes a very good living at being a thorn in the side of the U.S. gov't, forever on his tour talking openly, directly, and most importantly, dispassionately, about the fact that higher-ups continuously failed to heed his advice about issuing passports to muslim applicants who'd filled their forms out incorrectly. Springmann would get the "decline" stamp out only to be overruled time and again by superiors. What the U.S. gov't and the 9/11 Commission conveniently neglected to investigate is the fact that at least half of the 9/11 terrorists were issued passports from Jedda. I must write about this story because it's time that prominent American leaders get the facts right and assume responsibility for possibly the biggest failure in American intelligence in the country's history. Assuming responsibility is a tough thing for many American leaders, who prefer to cut corners and to place hyperbole over facts learned through reading. The 9/11 terrorists were admitted into America lawfully, and it is American leadership that must address this problem instead of continuing myths in order to scapegoat their own responsibility to their people. |

Doesn't matter if they did or not so long as the next batch can.
