Why not let him die in his cage like the Goddamn animal he is?
Did his victims get "compassionate release"?
A complete travesty.

The Swamp

The White House responded swiftly today to the Scottish government's release of the terminally ill Lockerbie bomber, with a spokesman for President Barack Obama voicing deep regret for the government's decision.
The Scottish government today released Abdel Basset Mohamed al-Megrahi, who suffers from terminal prostate cancer and was convicted for his role in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which exploded in the air over Scotland killing all aboard and several on the ground.
"The United States deeply regrets the decision by the Scottish Executive to release Abdel Basset Mohamed al-Megrahi,'' White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said in a statement issued this morning.
"As we have expressed repeatedly to officials of the government of the United Kingdom and to Scottish authorities, we continue to believe that Megrahi should serve out his sentence in Scotland,'' Gibbs said.
The White House also offered its concern for the families of the bomber's many victims - "deepest sympathies to the families who live every day with the loss of their loved ones. We recognize the effects of such a loss weigh upon a family forever.''
Megrahi was sentenced in 2001 to life in prison for his role in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which exploded over Scotland on December 21, 1988.
The Scottish government said it was releasing al-Megrahi on compassionate grounds, allowing him to return to Libya to die.
. Justice secretary Kenny MacAskill said today that there had been a significant deterioration in the health of al-Megrahi, given only months to live. At the same time, he said he is aware that that there "were deeply held feelings and that many may disagree."
The airliner was carrying mostly American passengers to New York when it exploded, killing all 259 people aboard and 11 on the ground when it crashed at the town of Lockerbie.
WTF?
Why not let him die in his cage like the Goddamn animal he is?
Did his victims get "compassionate release"?
A complete travesty.

Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. - Senator Barack Obama, March 2006 (Congressional Record, p S2237)

I'm kind of busy today, so if you could go ahead and offend yourself on my behalf, that would be great....
I'm surprised that Obama didn't apologize to him.
Oh yea, he should be locked in his cage until he takes his last breath.
I don't know what the fuck 'deep regret' means though. I think it means - countries can release all the terrorists they want and all Obama has to say about it is 'we are angry', or we deeply "regret" it..
What a pussy move on Obama's behalf.

Compassion is what makes me better than a terrorist.
First they came for the mimes, and I did not speak out, because I was a mime.

this is not a WH issue. Moved to Intl. Politics.
The reason for his release doesn't mitigate his crime. I think his release is a travesty as well. Period.
But, I am sad to say, I am not surprised.
You don't need to be compassionate in order to be better than them Donkey. By simply not being one of them, or resorting to their tactics, you are better.
I say let him rot. By committing a crime such as this he removed himself from humanity and certainly shouldn't be held to the same standard.

courage must be the greater as our might fails"
