Its not fair how Israel is left to stand alone in just about every engagement. The Israelis are a wonderful people they are just surrounded by an extremist group of muslim fanatics. Israel proves that constant exposure does breed a degree of contamination, the extremists continuous assaults on Israeli sovereignty have forced Israel into a corner of paranoia and defense for their own safety. Also noted that the Turks upped the engagement and just in every other case Israel was acting only in concern for there own people against a regime that has sworn upon the destruction of Israel.

When is the US Navy goign to be sent in to stop the Israeli pirates fom their immoral and illegal actions in international waters? Their theft of a foreign flagged vessal should be another sign that the UN needs to step in and impose sanctions against the terrorist nation of Israel until they stop their aggression.

I doubt you'll ever see the US Navy do that.

I'm wondering why the Israeli government doesn't understand that the blockade only strengthens Hamas. Well, I'm thinking they're counting on it. Hamas is Israel's raison d'être, and vice versa.

The UN secretary general proposes an inquiry headed by a former PM of New Zealand who happens to be an expert in maritime law at the same time , with Turkey, Israel, and the US involved in the investigation. But Israel, that up to today refuses to agree to any probe of the incident, has also not yet agreed to the investigation and to the mandate. Israel apparently wants to make sure that the comission is not allowed to question its soldiers.... :

2. They weren't murdered. The soldiers switched from documented a viewable non-lethal force to lethal force once they felt their lives were in danger.

Not surprising that Israel is not leaning towards cooperation seeing as they are already condemned.

Not surprising that Israel again is going to lie and scheme it's way out of breaking international laws (furthermore if it has nothing to hide then why not allow the release of the peace activists phones and recording devices and allow Israeli commando's to be questioned in order to clear up its name?).... I agree with Rahmota... when are Israel's immoral acts going to be brought to justice??

yeah I know it is sad to see that the government wont stand behind its commitment to protect international waters from murdering pirates like the Israelis.

Still it would be wonderful to see what Israel would do if a carrier group escorted a flotilla of aid vessals into Gaza. Let them try their murdering boarding action then.

Hamas is the legally elected government of the Gaza concentration camp and the Israelis know it they just dont like it. So they wanna play the battered victim pity card and say oh look at how they are all picking on me while attacking, harrassing and generally being an aggressive prick to everyone around them.

1. Certainly, some people on the boat were armed with weapons...but how do you/we know that the 9 dead and 50 or so others shot and wounded were those who were armed and attacking the IDF?...seen any pictures from the Israeli's of the shootings?...we wont till there is an open enquiry...those who attacked the IDF may have simply merged back into the crowd, removed their masks and be now safe at home, planning their next mercy mission.

2. Certainly, there is no evidence proving, even suggesting murder, but how do you/we know that the soldiers didn't just loose it and shoot anyone without an IDF uniform on within range? How do you/we know that the Israeli's didn't just line up capture attackers and shoot them in the head after they had been subdued?...seen any pictures of the shootings?...we won't till there is an open enquiry.

I think many country's would like to support Israel more openly, but it's difficult to ally yourself to a country who is perceived to be an aggressive oppressor by a significant number of strong lobbying groups in most western democracy's...I'm sure though that Israel gets a great deal of support behind the scenes from many country's which is intentionaly low key
