Actually in this country that's not the case. That would fall under the laws that deal with mishandling a dead body.

There may be internet available in the hotels. When I have been in a foreign country, we have always gotten news from the American media. The people who lived there did not. So, the internet cafes in the hotels may still up working.

Egypt has, however, blocked Facebook and Twitter.

Ahem, they do protest the govt., alot! They are called petitions of redress and marches. But we do it without destruction and mayhem.

True, but Mubarak's authoritarian rule and our support of it flies in the face of any spreading of democracy we have claimed in our interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Even Israel's statements regarding Egypt's recent turmoil have been mostly an admission that they only like democracies that benefit them.

I'm not saying America is any different from a lot of the world in its self-centered focus on foreign policy, but I do wish we'd be a little more honest about our motivations.
