I swear the Catholic Church has some macabre rituals for real that put Racoon City to shame. I've often wondered if the success of Resident Evil comes from the fact that it's actually a satire on modern religion and the Umbrella Corp is the Catholic Church.

I think some people forget what the world was like a couple of decades ago. John Paul was far more responsible for the fall of communism than Ronald Reagan or any other political figures you can name.
