Which party will get bit in the a$$ over this
Mukasey refuses probe of Bush aides - Yahoo! News
Attorney General Michael Mukasey refused Friday to refer the House's contempt citations against two of President Bush's top aides to a federal grand jury. Mukasey said White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former presidential counsel Harriet Miers committed no crime. On one hand the Dems could be seen as using this in an atemp to sway the voters. On the other hand this could be seen as the Reps continuing to hide something. I always thought that the AG was there to uphold the laws of the land and not to protect the Admin. reguardless of weather its a R or D admin. |

Thats very true, however when someone tries that hard to avoid an investigation it leads me to think that they are trying to hide something.

I've never heard of a Grand Jury being empaneled to examine the possibility of bringing misdemeanor charges.

party or the other. I was just wondering why it was such a big deal not to let these people testify? I know you lean more toward the Rep side. and thats fine, but not everyone supports one party or the other. I try to look at both sides and figure the truth is somewhere in the middle. But when one side goes to such lenghts to hide their side, then I wonder what they are trying to hide. Reguardless of the R or D |
