Close Encounters with Communists

A few years ago a communist bit my finger. Things have been different. What sort of stories do you guys have to share?

It saddens me that the communists were able to infiltrate your dorm room. My sympathies.

I was engaged to be married to one for over three years. (Well, he was ex-communist because his government allowed him to have a choice after the early 90s.)

Fate has a way of working these things out, doesn't it?

I once had dinner with a man who hijacked the whole table's discussion (10 people!) to rant about the evils of capitalism and the transcendent enlightenment we would achieve as a society, if only we read Marx. This was at a Catholic Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser, mind you. Didn't go over well, to say the least!

He was the same guy who brought X-Box games to play at the public X-Box at the student union (always Spider-man, for some weird reason). He just couldn't bring himself to purchase a console from Microsoft, the only corporation more evil than Exxon.

I think the fact that the X-Box was "publicly owned" made it ok to play...but I never asked him where he got the games...

Bitten by a commie; I hope you sought appropriate treatment. I've heard of the conspiracy to sap and impurify the precious bodily fluids of the American people - another victim comes forth.

Re: Close Encounters with Communists

I got to check out a North Korean army guard up-close and personal in the DMZ JSA in 1980. I guess he would qualify as a believer. He said a few things to my KATUSA friend, he told me later the guy snarled at him, "Are you a Korean or a puppet?!". Big thinkers, those commie guards.

Re: Close Encounters with Communists

A commie looked at me darkly the other day, I scuttled home quickly.

That is kinda like Rage Against the Machine professing the evils of capitalism and then sell their CDs with a fat Sony sicker on it.
