Just like McCain didn't have a black mistress and Kerry didn't fake his war injuries, and GHW Bush wasn't really a wimp, and Al Gore isn't really a mechanical robot, in politics ESPECIALLY elections, truth takes a back seat to perception. How else do you explain Obama getting elected?

That's actually quite false. I care about honesty and truth, which is why I voted for Ron Paul, one of the FEW politicians running in this election who isn't basically a chronic liar. However, what I care about is immaterial, what matters is what the vast majority of the country thinks.

I never said lying is ok, but I would be among the first to admit that lying is an integral part of politics. Once again whether I think its ok or not is immaterial, its going to happen no matter what I think.

My intent is dishonest? How can intent be dishonest? My intent is that the republican party crumble beyond repair so that they shove the idiots, hypocrites, retards, wackos, and religious nutjubs out the door and once again adopt a realistic platform like they had in the 1980's, and briefly in the early 1990's. Quit messing in people's personal lives with things like Terry Schaivo and gay marriage and prayer in schools, and get back to smaller government with fiscal responsibility.
