I really doubt that. They all released solo albums in the late 70's/early 80's but I don't recall any songs off of any of the albums much less a #1. In fact, I'm not even sure that the band as a whole had a #1 hit.
Well, to be fair, i didn't even know who they were until that point - though i was barely even out of HS at the time. Bear in mind this is the UK charts the question was about, not Billboard. But yeah looking at some of those pictures and what not, i'm not sure they even were a whole band by the looks of it! Before my time, anyway.

The UK charts? Hmm...The Beatles would certainly be the one that comes to mind McCartney and Lennon had all kinds of hits. Harrison had a couple of biggies and even Ringo had Photograph and You Know It Don't Come Easy.

This would be really hard for most bands as, generally speaking, drummers usually don't have big solo careers.

Yeah, i thought it was the Beatless too (i think everybody did) but apparently Ringo never hit the top spot, going solo. I think Harrison managed it with "My Sweet Lord" and Lennon managed it with "Woman" but i don't think even McCartney ever hit the top spot, as a solo artist. Wings managed it i think, with "Band On the Run".

In 1874 the first “testicular guard” known as the “cup” was used in hockey. It wasn't until the late 1970's that helmets were required. That means it took over 100 years for man to realize that his brain was also important.

I dunno, seems like man used his brain to figure what was important 100 years before, and was protecting it ever since...

I suggest a round of golf or a fishing trip then.
