    I'm going to my brother's fiance's family's event.

So yeah. Bring on the Serbian thanksgiving. Hellsyah.
First they came for the mimes, and I did not speak out, because I was a mime.

    Several glasses of wine.

My stepdad is cooking, not sure what he is making but I'll be enjoying lots of made from scratch goodness.

I'm making potato salad, it's really good, but it's all I know how to make.

I will be eating Granny's rice and gravy, I could eat nothing else for the rest of my life and die perfectly happy.

    Sorry; I should've been a bit clearer.

The turkey is going to be deep fried.

We're doing a roast (beef) on the grille...

Yeah when i saw the thread title and thought what i'd be making, i figured " a mess", more than anything probably.

I can cook but i don't think i should go to the lengths of trying to prepare a thanksgiving dinner.

Yeah i reckon we'll go to my Aunt's for the same reason. (The food is to die for and is so much less hassel too).

I'm lucky. My husband (wow, that's effin weird) are both the babies of really large families, so we probably won't have to be responsible for the important parts of Thanksgiving dinner anytime soon. And when we are, I think I'll cater it. My sister cooked the turkey for the first time last year and she was so stressed out! That just doesn't look like fun to me!

Re: What ya making for Thanksgiving?

Yeah my wife did it last year and has done a couple Turkeys through the year so far and she gets way too flustered. I can do the big birds fairly well (doing a goose today) but i'd like to relax and watch the Longhorns-Aggies game on Thusday so i'll probably go to family too. (Big family on my side, and they would love to have us over as they rarely see our daughter).

Congratulations on the wedding btw, took me a while get used to saying "wife" too.
