For example, realclearpolitics.com reports every poll every day and they list the Rasmussen polls "with leaners." Sorry.

Maybe you only read a portion of the paragraph I wrote. Volunteering doesn't show up in polls because it's not about "changing minds" as it is about super maximizing existing support. Registering voters, getting cell phones, expanding caller lists, expanding donor lists etc. etc. etc. All of these things show up on election day, but not in the polls.

Spin, spin, spin. Spinning around in circles. Face it, it is drifting away for your candidate.

Regarding the polls, I look at at least five tracking polls daily and they are almost saying the same things, say for maybe a point or two difference.

Earlier this week, when Obama hit 50% to McCain's 43%, his supporters were popping the champagne. Now that they are tied, then it becomes "Polls lesson 101".

I am sticking with what I see. And that is that they are both evenly tied.

OMG you're both intense and not at all self aware. If I'm spinning then you're doing the same. You claim to see a trend of the election "slipping" away by looking one Rasmussen poll and ignoring all the numbers contained in it. I suspect in 2004 you didn't mind that Bush out organized and out volunteered Kerry in key states and also got the evangelical base to turn out in states like New Mexico and Arizona which had gay rights ballot initiatives. If you don't believe volunteering and organisation makes a difference in political campaigns, then you just don't know that much about politics.

You also don't know that much about the 2004 election. This is that election, but in reverse. Kerry tried running against Bush rather than for himself, and we saw what happened. On this day in 2004 Bush was leading in the electoral college by about the margin he won the election in November. Currently Obama is up to 300+ electoral college votes. Though I doubt he'll win North Dakota and Nevada, two states he's leading in in the polls right now. What should scare you is that McCain has never, not once, lead in Michigan or Pennsylvania and he has to win one of those states to win the election. Obama has shut down New Jersey, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and New Mexico. States John McCain has also never led in. This allows Obama to concentrate in Ohio, which he is going to do. And, again, currently he's leading in the polls in Ohio a state Kerry never lead once in 2004.

"Spin" seems to be the thing people say when they don't have facts and they can't respond. I prefer to call it "thinking" "reading" and "analyzing".

Still spinning huh! Continue. I would rather deal with reality. Continue down your "make-believe path".

The truth: The Rasmussen's daily tracking polls for 9/6/08 has Obama at 46% and McCain at 45%.

You cannot argue with the truth. But hey, some people try. So go ahead and give it your best shot.

Obama's Presidency is about Obama. It is too bad that other people are still failing to recognize that.

I believe a lot of Obama's support comes from the youth of this country. Whom the majority have been more interested in anything but politics. They have been facinated with his orator skills. Hopefully, they will look at Obama with a little more depth as to his insite & manner.

I really don't believe that Obama would be the democrat nominee today, had it not been for all the caucas states.

For instance--my state of Colorado was a primary state before this year. We were able to vote from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The caucas in Colorado started at 7 P.M. & lasted well past midnight. This on super "Tuesday" night.

Caucas states disenfranchise the elderly, & mom's & dads who go home after work to take care of children, & who need to get ready for the next working day. They aren't going to show up on a Tuesday night.

Who shows up in caucas states to stay up half the night? The youth of this country.

So I reflected on Barack Obama's campaign to see what would ever make anyone say that.

Obviously, Sarah Palin picked up on it too--with her comments of--when Barack Obama is finished "rolling back the waters" & "healing" the planet, exactly what are his plans?

In my opinion--I think these kind of sentiments result from a continual Obama media network--ABC, NBC, CBS, & the MSN's following Barack Obama around like he is some kind of god like figure. In their effort to insure that Barack Obama is the next President of the United States. We all saw the video of 200 thousand Germans screaming his name, while he was on his world-wide popularity tour. The Obama media networks cameras were rolling constantly.

I also believe this comes from Barack Obama who staged his acceptance speech with greek styrofoam columns at Invesco field, fireworks & 75 thousand adorning--star lit fans.

I don't think that this has gone well for Obama with millions of Americans watching this at home on their T.V. screens. Americans will not elect arrogance.

Now, I may have been able to put up with the "rock star" idle figure, that was stated by pundents from the Obama networks media, but when someone compares Barack Obama to the son of God--it goes over the top for me.
I read the same post you read Oreo. It was actually a joke. It's unfortunate you didn't take it.

Just imagine if McCain had that many volunteers and money. His winning the election would be a sure bet.

The writing is on the wall for Obama. Read it.
It's about the states good sir. If you look at state polls in battleground states McCain hasn't been doing so well recently.

Yes, I saw that in a McCain commercial too. Isn't it interesting that -- that video backfired on Obama during his world wide popularity tour?

In fact, it left a taste so bad in American mouths that the Obama campaign "almost" didn't use the styrofoam Greek columns, but then decided to go ahead with it. Those didn't help him either, the jokes are endless.

It's not only on this board--it has been repeatedly stated--from other liberals, & mentioned on talk radio. (referring to hurricane Gustav as being some kind of signal that everyone should vote for Barack Apollo Obama, ha. ha.)

Hate to rain on your parade--but 1 measly point, when Barack Obama, according the Obama news media networks was to have had a 15 point lead coming out of the democrat convention, ha.ha.

Tickets to see McCain/Palin in Colorado Springs were sold out last Thursday. -15,000 people attended today (Saturday).

This is happening everywhere they go.

The Rasmussen poll, a three-day rolling average, was taken before Mr McCain addressed his party — and many interviews were conducted even before Mrs Palin’s barnstorming performance as “a pitbull with lipstick”, suggesting that there may be further Republican gains in the next few days.
So enjoy it while it lasts Dems because the bounce is about to hit and it ain't gonna be pretty.
