Trooper-Gate Finale [merged]

It's showtime for Troopergate.

The investigation will likely come to a close this week resulting in one of 2 outcomes:

- A report on the findings released on Friday

OR

- The whole investigation will be shut down

The Associated Press: Republicans to high court: Stop Palin ethics probe

Republicans to high court: Stop Palin ethics probe
By MATT APUZZO – 1 hour ago

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Republicans are asking the state's highest court to block an abuse-of-power investigation into vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's firing of a state commissioner before a potentially embrassing report on the matter is released.

Five GOP state lawmakers, in a brief filed Monday, say the inquiry has exceeded its authority and is too political.

Palin is the focus of a legislative investigation into allegations she abused her power by firing her public safety commissioner. The commissioner says he was pressured to dismiss a state trooper who was involved in a messy divorce with Palin's sister.

Investigators are scheduled to submit a report on the investigation Friday. Oral arguments are scheduled for Wednesday.
This will be a big story either way:

- If the investigation is allowed to reach a conclusion, it probably won't paint Palin in a favorable light whether there is clear wrondoing or not..

- If the investigation is halted, it will look like Palin had something to hide and the powers that be helped her cover it up by shutting it down.

Revenge for what?

I'm not into emotional stuff.. at least as it relates to politics.. This is just promising material to use against oppostion. It was all in motion before Palin was even considered for VP.

Certainly this is a story that McCain proponents wish would go away. But it's not...... It's coming to a head this week.

The story seems to have gotten lost amid all the debate drama, SNL skits, and Couric interviews, but it's going to be back pretty soon.

So are you saying that Palin is suffering from the Alaska Republicans witch hunt? Why are the Alaskan Republicans doing everything in their power to make Palin and the state look bad?

Neither.

It's the Republican-initiated investigation into possible illegal offical acts by Governor Palin.

Nice try, though.

Deny, deny, deny.

It's the scandal that you tiptoe around like the 800 lbs gorilla in the room because it's severity and it's timing will be the stake in the McCain campaign's heart.

The same investigation that's going nowhere and nobody gives a shit about......
...mainly because it's based on false accusations by enemies of Sarah Palin.
.....the same crooked bastards that Sarah Palin rained on their parade when she became Governor.
