I'm not whining.

My views this past week have been highly critical of the McCain team for completely losing control of their party and letting haters and a mob mentality take over the tone of the rallies.

Moderate conservatives across the board have written about it, too.

Be ignorant if you want.

Obama is going to win because of two things: he ran a better campaign, much tighter, and ran it conservatively by never approaching a deficit and saving a good deal of cash until the end, and because McCain beat McCain.

Thank God! It's not just me!

Affirmative Action does not extend to the White House - that position should be attained by merit and Obama ain't good enough.

Compared to McCain, Obama seems like a return to mediocrity but with a renewed sense of competence.

It's now his to lose. He's been talking to moderates for weeks now, and they're tuning out to negativity, so he'll go after Bush and failed economic policies, but it's going to be a Mr.Rogers bit if I had to predict what he'll do.

He needs to continue to emphasize to people that he's actually a regular person, despite all the shit that's been thrown at him in this campaign.
Barack Obama is a "regular person"??

What your definition of "regular"?

True.

"Whining" is hardly an encompassing enough word for the special brand of pissing and moaning you've been doing lately...

Your "views" this past week have revolved, primarily, around calling anyone who disagrees with Obama a "racist"...

Oh, I can certainly choose to be ignorant.

You, on the other hand, do not have the luxury of making that choice, as it occurs naturally in you...

In order for there to be any discussion, one must know what your context is.

Why are you afraid to provide your definition of "regular"?

That's it; run away like a coward.

After all, it's all we've come to expect from you.

You're pathetic...

I didn't say he's a regular person.

This thread is useless. You can't even read properly. Go back to my post and read it more carefully.

I was speaking from the point of view of strategy, and not expressing my opinion.

I would never accuse you of being too quick.

So, you admit he's not a regular guy, but support him trying to convince people that he is?

Why do you want someone so dishonest in the White House?

I know objectivity is a difficult place for people to get to, but that's how I was looking at what I think he's going to do in that televised address.

To any objective viewer, McCain continues to make the mistake of simply rallying his base while Obama is smartly going after indie voters who are going to decide this thing.

McCain would serve himself way better by striking more grace notes in the last three weeks, but he's practically squandered any possibility of changing what indie voters already perceive, which is that he's erratic and out of touch.

I'm looking at things through their eyes. That's why it's not my opinion that Obama is regular or not regular. I think it's all kind of stupid, really. No one who runs for President is a "regular" person. That's sort of why they're running for President.
