I think you guys would be getting kicked out of everybody else's countries first. Do you have enough facilitites to harbour all those ships at home?

Can you protect all your overseas bases?

I don't care one way or the other because it won't happen ... but I find this talking big tends to disregard a lot of things.

Do they still have that ?
I used to get a good laugh watching that.

I picked mutual destruction; there are far too many nukes, bio and chemical weapons throughout the world for anyone to survive…..that is, if every weapon would be used.

If the U.S. was attacked without those weapons I’ve mentioned, it couldn’t be done….There are far too many military people and weapons plus millions of civilians that have numerous guns, not to mention that we have enough land and resources that we could survive alone….Changes would be needed but we would survive.

That would be awesome!

Who would represent the US? Bush? How about the Arnold?
OR,
it could be like a giant 25-foot tall George Bush being attacked by a few hundred little leaders from other nations, their size dependent upon the relative strength of their nations.
I'm thinking Pay-Per-View Prime-Time Spectacular!

...I'd watch it!

Re: USA vs the world, who would win

If there is a nuclear war there wouldn't be any winner.
If USA is invaded by the rest of the world, US army would surely lost in conventional fight (or win with catastrophic losses) but with all the guns that have americans, an insurection would be insurmountable for the international coalition.
If the USA invade the rest of the world without using any nuclear weapon, there are definitly the loosers. They have already great difficulties (unfortunately) in Iraq, so I can't imagine if they invade the rest of the world. Actually there is no nation in the world that is able to do that, and there won't be any in the next century.

Any problems in Iraq isn't because of military short-comings, it is because of political crap and in fighting a war with our hands tied…..If the hands were untied and civilian casualties were not an issue, Iraq would have been toast within a week....And without the use of nukes !

Well, thank goodness we had at least enough "politcal crap" so make sure civilian casualties remained an issue.

Ummm, this thread is a “WHAT IF” thread and I was just responding to a post….I wasn’t saying that I am opposed to protecting civilians.

This is a "what if" thread.....Has nothing to do with current situations.

Your post specifically referred to the sitation in Iraq, so I was responding within that context.
However, I didn't mean to imply that you were opposed to protecting civilians. My apologies.

I mentioned Iraq because of this partial quote.....They mentioned it.

Re: USA vs the world, who would win

what is interesting her, is not the answere to the question, by why at this particular tiem there are two such comparable threads. US -vs-Irael, and US-vs- the rest of the world.

Bush gets defeated, and now the questions of "what if" come up. especially since the other thread is instigated by soldiers. Maybe we need a poll to learn whether people think one or the other are likely to happen.

This is a clear expression of typical American feeble logic.

HA HA...You got your asses kicked by a small third world country like North Vietnam and think you have a chance against the world.
