Re: What's in you CD player right now?
YouTube - FLEET FOXES - "Blue Ridge Mountains" (live on late night tv)
This is my favorite discovery of the year; Fleet Foxes, and Blue Ridge Mountains has got to be my pick for "Song of the Year". The whole disc is good, and half of it gives me shivers. |

"Sing Loud, Sing Proud" - Dropkick Murphys
One of my sons brought this to the house a couple years ago when he was helping me stain the fence. We blasted it all afternoon while we worked. I bought a copy the next day. It's not the same though when I play it at my desk because I can't really crank it up like this record needs.

Progressive Austrian folk music... and I mean really progressive
![]() YouTube - Attwenger@donauinselfest 2008 Another song from the same band: YouTube - Attwenger - Muamen (they actually sing repeating real text which translates to somewhat like "the men are speaking unclearly")

Tastes are different
![]() I don't know though what carneval music has to do with it. What do you mean by that? Maybe you don't appreciate the traditional Austrian/Bavarian/Alpine music much, nor modern interpretations of it. Maybe however you just don't like Attwenger. Or you don't appreciate alternative or indie music.
