We are all free to our opinion PJ, so no offense taken. But it is something the science supports based on the situation on the ground as deemed by people who are much more knowledgable about the biology of wolves than you or I.
Here is what the whole thing boils down to. When it comes to the wildlife management, or really most any government decisions made by another entity that I have nothing to do with, I generally accept them as knowing more than me and let them be. Whereas PETA is a bunch of folks who are blowing something way out of proportion and sensationalizing the whole thing. But they have a political agenda just like everyone right?

No offense.
So based on the info given, are you going to support the Alaska tourism boycott thrown out by PETA?

Nope. I'd still come to Alaska. I really don't take PETA too seriously.

I just struggle with our species' decision to kill every predator we can because we think they're competition. The lack of predators is one of the reasons we have a plague of deer and elk here in CO.

Re: Should Horse Racing Be Banned?

Mud this is an interesting topic, but i don't really have an option to vote for. I would support banning gambling and the sportsbooks and spreads that come with racing but i have no objection the whole humane/animal protection stuff that has been mentioned.

The sheer amount of money that changes hands is near absurd, more money is spent on betting in regards to horseracing than every other sport put together.

The corruption is pretty much catastrophic, the race fixing etc is just astronomical and the whole thing is just a mess.

You just perfectly described my feelings, when watching Olympics "Women's" Artistic Gymnastics.

Anyway I don't have any personal interest in horse racing, but even I feel the idea of a ban utterly stupid. Just as usual, nothing good comes from PETA-activists.

That's exactly what I had in mind as an analogy, too.
